Job summary

Raqami Islamic Digital Bank seeks a seasoned Unit Head - Enterprise Model Risk to design, implement, and oversee the bank's Model Risk Management framework, ensuring independent validation across the full model lifecycle and regulatory compliance.

You will lead a dedicated validation team across credit, market, liquidity, financial crime, and business models, report findings to Board committees, and ensure governance, bias monitoring, and explainability of AI/ML models.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in model development or validation in banking.
• Experience across multiple risk types (credit, market, liquidity, financial crime).
• Regulatory framework knowledge (IFRS 9, Basel, SBP).
• Leadership and board-level communication experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee enterprise-wide MRM framework and policy implementation.
• Lead independent model validations across all model classes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and governance reporting to boards.
• Build and manage an independent validation team.
