We seek an experienced Head of development solutions and support to lead enterprise-scale software design and delivery using Python, Java, AI/ML, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), REST APIs, domain-driven design, and Model Context Protocol frameworks.

This strategic senior technical leadership role reports to the VP of Engineering or CTO, responsible for architecting innovative solutions, leading high-performing teams, establishing technical strategy, and driving digital transformation. The successful candidate combines deep full-stack technical expertise with exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and cross-organizational influence while maintaining hands‑on technical involvement in solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Define enterprise solutions development design across multiple technology stacks. Collaborate in architectural decision‑making for mission‑critical systems emphasizing scalability, performance, security, and cost‑efficiency. Design build for distributed systems and cloud‑native solutions. Establish development standards and best practices. Evaluate emerging technologies and determine adoption strategies. Create technical roadmaps translating business strategy into technology initiatives. Ensure

• AI/ML Solutions: Lead design and implementation of AI/ML solutions integrated with enterprise applications. Define AI/ML strategy, model selection, and deployment patterns.
• Oversee generative AI integration into existing and new systems.
• Establish governance frameworks for model development and production deployment. Implement responsible AI practices including explainability, fairness, and ethical considerations.
• Lead MCP implementations enabling AI systems to interact with enterprise tools. Establish data governance supporting AI initiatives.

Cloud Platform Strategy

Working closely with cloud platform designer and engineers.

• Lead multi‑cloud build strategy across Azure and AWS with governance and cost management.
• Design cloud solution implementation optimizing performance, availability, security, and cost.
• Establish cloud adoption frameworks and migration strategies. Lead infrastructure modernization including containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Implement cloud security frameworks and infrastructure‑as‑code practices .
• Drive cost optimization and ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Design REST API standards and best practices organization‑wide.
• Lead API‑first solutions enabling microservices architectures implementation.
• Implement API governance frameworks including versioning, security, and quality standards.
• Design API integration strategies for internal and external systems. Establish API documentation and developer experience capabilities. Ensure API security and performance monitoring.
• Domain‑Driven Design: Champion DDD principles across development organizations. Lead domain analysis and bounded context identification. Design microservices boundaries aligned with domain concepts. Establish event‑driven architecture patterns. Ensure domain logic is properly modeled and separate from infrastructure. Foster domain expertise through knowledge sharing and collaborative design.

Development & Quality

• Establish software development methodologies aligned with organizational needs.
• Implement quality assurance frameworks including testing strategies and metrics.
• Working with DevOps engineering team, Lead DevSecOps adoption integrating security throughout pipelines.
• Establish CI/CD automation reducing time‑to‑market. Implement code quality standards and architectural guardrails.

Stakeholder & Communication

Communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and executives. Build relationships with business leaders and cross‑functional teams. Present technical strategy to leadership. Translate business requirements into technical strategies.

Lead research on emerging technologies and their organizational applicability. Establish innovation practices enabling experimentation. Lead proof‑of‑concept implementations. Drive organizational participation in industry conferences and communities.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 10+ years professional software development spanning multiple technologies
• 7+ years technical leadership managing engineering teams and establishing strategies
• 5+ years architecting enterprise‑scale distributed systems and cloud‑native solutions
• 5+ years hands‑on Python and Java production experience
• 4+ years designing and implementing AI/ML solutions
• 3+ years architecting on Azure and AWS
• 3+ years implementing REST APIs and microservices
• 3+ years applying domain‑driven design principles

Reporting Structure

• Reports to: Chief Technology Officer / VP of Engineering / Chief Information Officer
• Direct Reports: 5-10 Engineering Managers, Senior Architects, or Technical Leads
• Strategic and hands‑on technical involvement
• Executive‑level collaboration and presentations
• Travel to client sites and conferences (10-15% annually)
• On‑call for critical technical decisions
• Rs. 250,000 to 400,000 per month plus paid holiday
