Overview

HMT is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer for one of our clients, with a strong background in accounting, taxation, and financial management. The ideal candidate should be a CA Finalist or ACCA qualified professional with at least 3 years of experience, particularly in US taxation, financial reporting, and compliance. This is a remote position requiring excellent English communication skills to collaborate with international teams.

Working Hours: 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM CST (Night Shift)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and compliance reports in accordance with US GAAP and tax regulations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in tax planning, filings, and audits for US-based entities.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) to maintain financial records.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications & Skills

• CA Finalist or ACCA qualified (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance/accounting, with exposure to US taxation.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, etc.) and MS Excel.
• Excellent English communication (written & verbal) for remote collaboration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Prior experience working with US/International clients.
• Familiarity with remote work tools (Slack, Zoom, Asana, etc.).
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
