Job summary

Bestway Consultancy Services is seeking a senior financial analyst to monitor and analyse the financial and commercial performance of the Group portfolio companies. The role involves building models, forecasting cash flows and conducting sensitivity analyses to drive strategic investment decisions.

You will work with CFOs and senior managers, support due diligence and investment papers, and prepare concise materials for Board and Investment Committee meetings.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 6–8 years of firm experience in similar functions.
• Strong modelling and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of EBITDA, Net Working Capital, Net Debt, cash generation and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain financial models, cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses.

• Prepare materials for Board, Shareholder and Investment Committee meetings.

Job Purpose

To support the Portfolio / Corporate Development function in monitoring and analysing the financial and commercial performance of Group portfolio companies, providing high-quality financial analysis, modelling, due diligence and strategic insights to support senior management, shareholder and investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse the financial and commercial performance of Group portfolio companies, identifying key performance drivers, risks, opportunities and areas requiring management attention.
• Conduct detailed analysis of Quality of Earnings, EBITDA, Net Working Capital, Net Debt, cash generation and overall financial performance.
• Analyse monthly and quarterly results against budget, forecast and prior-year performance, clearly identifying key variances and underlying business drivers.
• Develop and maintain financial models, cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses to support business planning, investment decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Support M&A and Corporate Development activities, including acquisition assessment, financial modelling, due diligence, investment analysis and preparation of investment papers.
• Prepare high-quality materials for Board, Shareholder and Investment Committee meetings, translating complex financial analysis into clear and commercially focused conclusions.
• Work closely with CFOs, senior management and portfolio company leadership teams to understand business performance, challenge assumptions and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, leverage, liquidity and other key financial and operational metrics across portfolio companies.
• Support strategic projects and value creation initiatives aimed at improving profitability, cash generation and operational performance.
• Develop robust reporting and forecasting tools using advanced Excel and analyse large and complex datasets to generate meaningful business insights.
• Prepare clear and concise PowerPoint presentations for senior management, Board and shareholder consumption.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with portfolio company management, external advisers and other senior stakeholders.
• Take ownership of assigned workstreams from initial analysis through to development of conclusions, recommendations and senior stakeholder presentations, with limited supervision.
• Provide ad hoc financial, commercial and strategic analysis to support senior management and shareholder decision-making.

Education

• ACA / ACCA / CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 6 to 8 years of Firm Experience in similar functions.
