A growing accounting firm is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Accountant to support financial reporting, general accounting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate has a background in Finance or Accounting, and experience with QuickBooks Online, 2–5 years in a related role, and strong analytical skills. This position is remote, requiring effective communication across teams.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of the accounting department, responsible for supporting financial reporting, general accounting, and budgeting & forecasting. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial reports and supporting informed decision-making across the organization.
Day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping through QuickBooks Online.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables management.
Handle month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of financial reports.
Mentoring junior team members – guiding them and reviewing their work.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and monitoring departmental expenditures.
Coordinate with departments to gather financial data and ensure accurate cost allocations.
Provide support for audits, both internal and external.
Collaborate with external accountants or consultants on tax‑related matters.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
Maintain organized financial records and documentation, and ensure integrity of data in financial reporting systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CFA is a plus).
2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or a related role.
Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and financial modeling.
Experience with QBO.
Self‑starter who owns KPIs and is independently motivated.
Comfortable with working remotely and CST timezone.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
