Qualifications

• Experience in land surveying is preferred but not required.
• Strong math and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the lead surveyor to assist in conducting land surveys.
• Set up and operate surveying instruments such as total stations GPS receivers and levels.
• Collect data on land features boundaries and topography using various methods including GPS, EDM and traditional hand tools.
• Prepare accurate field notes and sketches.
• Assist in compiling data and creating maps plans and reports.
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is calibrated properly.
• Follow all safety procedures while working on job sites.
