Job summary

Dhaga is seeking a creative Fashion Designer who understands Gen Z fashion, contemporary eastern wear and commercially successful design. You will translate trends into wearable, distinctly Dhaga collections, balancing aesthetics with wearability and market demand.

The role involves developing cuts, silhouettes, embroidery layouts and coordinating with production teams to deliver cohesive campaigns and launches. Karachi-based, on-site position offering growth within a women’s fashion brand.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Gen Z fashion and contemporary Pakistani wear.
  • Excellent knowledge of cuts, garment construction, fabrics and fitting.
  • Practical knowledge of embroidery techniques, motifs and placements.
  • Strong fashion illustration and technical drawing skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Awareness of colour, styling and seasonal trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple samples and work within deadlines.
  • Previous experience with a women's fashion brand is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design contemporary eastern wear, co-ords, kurtas, kaftans and occasion wear.
  • Develop fresh Gen Z cuts, silhouettes and styling concepts.
  • Research local and international fashion trends.
  • Create mood boards, sketches and complete collection concepts.
  • Design embroidery layouts, motifs, placements and colour combinations.
  • Select suitable fabrics, trims, embellishments and finishing details.
  • Coordinate with pattern masters, sampling, embroidery and production teams.
  • Conduct fittings and refine cuts, lengths and garment proportions.
  • Style complete looks for campaigns, shoots and product launches.
  • Balance creativity with wearability, pricing and commercial demand.
  • Study customer preferences and help develop potential bestsellers.
  • Maintain Dhaga's brand identity while bringing fresh ideas to every collection.

Job description

Dhaga is looking for a creative, trend-driven Fashion Designer who understands Gen Z fashion, contemporary eastern wear and commercially successful design.

You should have a strong eye for modern cuts, flattering silhouettes, styling, colour combinations and embroidery development. We're looking for someone who can translate trends into original, wearable designs that feel distinctly Dhaga.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design contemporary eastern wear, co-ords, kurtas, kaftans and occasion wear
