Job summary

Descon Engineering Limited – Corporate SAP ERP is seeking a SAP ABAP developer with 1–2 years' hands-on experience in ABAP and SAP BTP. The role focuses on building, enhancing, and integrating SAP solutions to support business processes and digital transformation.

You will collaborate with MM, SD, FICO, HCM, PM, and PP teams, contribute to upgrades, and drive automation while delivering robust technical documentation and transport logs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/IT or related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on SAP ABAP and SAP BTP experience.
• Knowledge of SAP modules and integration basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP ABAP programs, reports, forms, interfaces, and objects.
• Build and integrate applications using SAP BTP (APIs, OData, workflows).
• Resolve performance issues, dumps, and integration failures.
• Prepare and maintain technical docs, test cases, and transport logs.
• Collaborate with MM, SD, FICO, HCM, PM, PP for end-to-end delivery.
• Support SAP upgrades, rollouts and digital transformation projects.
• Drive automation and best technical practices.

Job description

The role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SAP technical solutions using ABAP and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to support seamless business operations. The incumbent will contribute to system enhancements, integrations, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization. Additionally, the role will focus on the following areas:

• Developing and enhancing SAP programs, reports, forms, interfaces, and technical objects


• Building and integrating applications using SAP BTP (APIs, OData services, workflows, CDS views)


• Resolving technical issues including performance bottlenecks, dumps, and integration failures


• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, test cases, and transport logs


• Collaborating with functional teams (MM, SD, FICO, HCM, PM, PP, etc.) for end-to-end solution delivery


• Supporting SAP upgrades, rollouts, and ongoing digital transformation projects


• Driving continuous improvement through automation and adoption of best technical practices
