Job summary

Zong 5G in Islamabad seeks an Executive DI-Convergence Platform to design and develop a wide range of applications using .NET Core, MVC, JavaScript, and modern web layouts. You will work within the Digital Intelligence team to deliver scalable solutions that align with convergence platform objectives.

The role requires 3–5 years of software development experience, hands-on with microservices, API development, and secure, high-performance systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Software engineering (minimum).
• MS degree preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 3–5 years of progressive software development experience.
• Experience with microservices, API development, distributed systems, and scalable design.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, scalable web applications on the Microsoft stack (.NET Core, MVC).
• Create and direct testing procedures, documentation, and QA processes.
• Participate in requirements gathering and analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams for software design and architecture.
• Write clean, scalable code using .NET languages.
• Test and deploy applications and systems.
• Maintain and refactor existing code for performance and reliability.
• Evaluate new code for stability, security, and metrics.

Position: Executive DI-Convergence Platform

Location: Islamabad

Reporting to: Senior Manager Convergence Platforms

Job Type: Permanent

Job Purpose:

• To design & develop a wide range of applications using .Net Core, MVC, JavaScript, user-friendly UIs and web layouts using HTML and CSS.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build high-quality, scalable web applications on the Microsoft technology stack and maintain existing web applications using .Net Core framework.
• Create and direct software system testing procedures, documentation, and programming to ensure all software is properly developed and regularly tested for quality assurance.
• Participate in requirements gathering & analysis.
• Collaborate with internal functional teams to produce software design and architecture.
• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
• Test and deploy applications and systems.
• Revise, update, refactor, and debug code.Make regular modifications to existing software for error correction, adaptation to new hardware, and to improve overall function and performance.
• Evaluate new code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security, and metrics.
• Supervise other team members, including programmers, engineers and technicians, to ensure quality work, reliability, overall performance and adherence to company standards
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

• In principle to have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT/Computer science/Software engineering.
• Preferably have MS degree.Certifications in relevant domain will be a plus.

Work Experience:

• Preferably, a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in software development, delivering enterprise-grade applications across diverse technologies, platforms, and software development methodologies.
• Preferably extensive hands‑on experience in modern software engineering practices, including microservices architecture, API development, distributed systems, database design, application architecture, system integration, and scalable solution design.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, technology platforms, risk management principles, and the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.
• Experience in mobile app development using Flutter will be a plus.
