Job summary

A leading language assessment organization in Islamabad seeks an experienced professional to oversee quality assurance and design English language programs. Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree and have at least 4–5 years of experience in English Teaching, particularly in IELTS/PTE. Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility are essential for success in this role. Work is on-site from 10 am to 7 pm and offers a competitive market salary.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To implement and administer all assessment and quality assurance procedures as directed by the Director/CEO.
  • Work closely for the quality assurance for projects produced by Transcription Team.
  • Plan, design and deliver customized programs of English language instruction.
  • To assess new and existing employees and provide feedback demonstrating a clear understanding of minimum requirements for expertise to a high standard, using audio and video technology.
  • To act as an Internal Quality Advisor, subject to the necessary training, if appropriate.
  • To maintain an on-going program of personal professional development to achieve high standards in line with Training Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Assessor will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing auto-scored English language proficiency assessments to ensure our job applicants can properly communicate with customers in various countries.
  • Design, create and administer various training assessments and evaluations to closely monitor and give feedback to line managers on employee’s performance and to identify and act immediately to mitigate failure and resolve potential failure cases through planned remedial actions.
  • Trainer will incorporate information, role plays, and exercises on client orientation and professionalism skills to English language classes.
Requirements & Skills

Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience in coaching on accent and grammar.
  • Relevant national and international experience is a definite plus.
  • Experience of dealing with employees in a professional capacity.
  • Significant experience of conducting the assessment process.
  • Having at least 4–5-year experience in English Teaching preferably in IELTS/PTE or Cambridge English Exams is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

  • Graduate Degree (Master/Phd) in English Literature/ Applied Linguistic, Educational Linguistics, Psychology, IELTS/PTE/TOEFL with a focus on language proficiency assessment/testing and research.
  • In-depth experience in developing teaching curriculum.
  • Having IELTS certification, PTE, Language certificate, Oxford English Test and British Council experience is a must.
  • Relevant Vocational qualification and Assessment and Quality Assurance qualification or equivalent (TAQA), Assessor Award or Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

APTITUDE AND ABILTIES

  • Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly developed ICT skills to support training, assessment, and communication.
  • Ability to manage own workload and to work unsupervised.
  • Have a flexible approach and the ability to liaise with learners, employers, and curriculum staff.
