Job summary

HR World is seeking an Electrician for assignments in Malaysia, on employer sites in construction, manufacturing or facilities. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.

The role requires practical experience with wiring, fixtures, circuits, ability to read diagrams, use multimeters and testing tools, adherence to codes and safe work practices, and strong teamwork on active projects.

Qualifications

• Practical experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, circuits, and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, wiring plans, and technical specifications.
• Competence in using multimeters and other electrical testing and diagnostic instruments.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation procedures, hazard identification, and safe tool handling.
• Troubleshooting faults methodically and completing repairs to a reliable standard.

Responsibilities

• Install and connect wiring, lighting, electrical equipment, and control components according to drawings and specifications.
• Inspect electrical systems, identify faults, and complete safe repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Use appropriate testing instruments to verify circuits, troubleshoot issues, and confirm completed work.
• Follow applicable electrical codes, site procedures, and occupational health and safety practices.
• Coordinate work with construction, maintenance, and other trade teams, and report progress or hazards to the supervisor.
• Maintain tools and equipment, keep work areas orderly, and document inspections and repairs as required.
