Job summary

The role requires a Diploma/DAE in Electrical Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/DAE in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, motors, breakers, and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electrical technicians and maintenance staff.
• Plan and assign electrical maintenance and repair tasks to the team.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, wiring, panels, and fixtures.
• Diagnose electrical faults and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Monitor electrical installations, modifications, and repair work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of electrical panels, breakers, generators, UPS systems, motors, and other electrical equipment.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, inspections, and repairs.
• Coordinate with other departments and contractors for electrical maintenance and project-related activities.
• Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with safety procedures and applicable electrical standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of electrical tools, equipment, and PPE.
• Train, guide, and evaluate electrical technicians to improve technical performance.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and breakdowns when required.
• Monitor inventory and ensure the availability of essential electrical spare parts and tools.
• Prepare maintenance reports and provide updates to management regarding ongoing issues and completed work.
