Job summary

Corporate Panorama in Islamabad, Pakistan is seeking an Electrical Estimator to review drawings, prepare cost estimates, and liaise with suppliers to ensure compliant, competitive bids. The role covers LV and MV systems, shop drawing review, and bid development in line with NEC/IEEE standards.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 5+ years of estimating experience, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Bluebeam and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and components including US standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Bluebeam and Excel for estimating.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand scope.
• Interpret, prepare, and review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment and taxes.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for LV and MV components and related systems.
• Liaise with suppliers for quotations and ensure best value without compromising quality.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial bids with required documentation.
• Manage changes in work orders and reflect adjustments in bids and estimates.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings to clarify scope and deliverables.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with local and national codes and standards.
