Introduction

The Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development, Pakistan (AKU-IED) in partnership with the School Education Department (SED) GB is implementing the Gilgit Baltistan Education Fellows project to improve children's access to quality education, enhance education governance, and involve communities in schools in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

Selection Criteria

• Candidates applying for school education positions must possess the domicile of the respective Union Council as specified.
• Candidates for Secondary Schools : Preference will be given to those having 16 years (or higher) education in the subjects mentioned against the positions listed above.
• Candidates for Middle and Primary Schools : Preference will be given to those having 14 years (or higher) education in the subjects mentioned against the positions listed above.
• Positions under College and Technical Education shall be filled based on district domicile as well as on minimum master’s degree in the relevant subjects.

Note 1 : Where needed, candidates with relevant subjects (e.g. from amongst Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) will be considered for middle and secondary schools.

Note 2: Where needed, candidates with 12 years education (preferably FSc) will be considered only for Primary Schools in the ‘hard areas.’

Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
