Qualifications

• MS/MPhil or equivalent in English, English Literature, Applied Linguistics, or a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
• Relevant teaching, language instruction, or research experience will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Course Delivery: Teach assigned courses in English language, communication skills, linguistics, literature, or composition according to the approved curriculum.
• Lesson Planning: Prepare lesson plans, course outlines, reading materials, presentations, and classroom learning activities.
• Language Skills Development: Improve students’ reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and academic communication skills.
• Literature & Textual Analysis: Teach prescribed literary texts and develop students’ skills in interpretation, critical reading, and academic discussion where applicable.
• Writing Instruction: Guide students in academic writing, essay development, report writing, referencing, and appropriate use of sources.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Prepare and assess quizzes, assignments, essays, presentations, language exercises, and examinations.
• Student Support: Provide academic consultation, identify learning difficulties, and guide students in improving language proficiency.
• Teaching Resources: Develop and update worksheets, reading materials, writing exercises, digital resources, and other instructional materials.
• Academic Documentation: Maintain attendance, assessment records, course files, results, and other required academic documentation.
• Research & Scholarly Activities: Participate in relevant research, conferences, seminars, academic discussions, and publications.
• Quality Assurance & Coordination: Participate in course evaluation, curriculum review, departmental meetings, examination duties, and academic quality initiatives.
• Professional Development: Improve teaching practices, update subject knowledge, participate in faculty development, and undertake other assigned academic responsibilities.
