Job Description

An OpenShift Engineer, 24/7 job role for the successful candidate to play a key role in supporting and deploying OpenShift solutions. You will have a hands-on role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our OpenShift infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• You will act as the primary on-site, Red Hat subject matter expert and point of contact for communication, accountability, and escalation paths.
• Assist with the containerization of application and building CI/CD with the application team.
• Assist with RBAC for Common Requirements (Project User, Project Admin, Cluster Admin etc.)
• Assist with new projects on boarding for OpenShift.
• Assist with the deployment of Red Hat OpenShift containers.
• Assist with the deployment of Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
• Assist with Persistent volumes configurations.
• Assist with project creations and node mapping.
• Assist with day-2 support, re-configuration, and planning Red Hat OpenShift operating environment.
• Assist with providing Red Hat OpenShift performance tuning and optimization.
• Assist with performing system diagnosis and resolution of Red Hat OpenShift related issues.
• Assist with upgrades and patches installation.
• Assist with on boarding of tenants on OpenShift clusters.
• Assist with the deployment of additional nodes.
• Assist with automation on different area’s of application backend.
• Assist with enabling the monitoring of application health stats

Requirements & Skills

• Between 0-3 Years of experience working with OpenShift
• Strong experience in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong managerial skills and ability to take ownership of projects and responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
