Job summary

Grayhat Developers Private Limited is seeking a Software Engineer 1 (DevOps) to join the onsite team in Islamabad. You will work with software engineers, QA, and leadership to move applications from development to production, focusing on automation, reliability, and faster delivery.

You will handle infrastructure & cloud tasks, CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring, security, and operational automation, collaborating across engineering teams to keep systems running

Qualifications

• Must have 1-3+ years of professional DevOps/Infrastructure experience.
• Strong Linux knowledge.
• Practical experience with Git workflows.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with deployment and production environments.
• Basic understanding of databases and application infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Scripting with Bash or Python.
• Security practices with environment variables and access controls.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.
• Comfort using AI tools in workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure and development environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications.
• Build and maintain Docker images and containerized apps.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and incident systems.
• Manage security, secrets, and access controls securely.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks; use IaC where appropriate.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure reliable deployments across environments.
• Document infrastructure and operational processes; support troubleshooting and debugging.
• Take ownership of deployment tasks from start to finish.
• Research and adopt AI tools to improve DevOps workflows.
