Job description

This position is responsible for designing, deploying, administering, and supporting virtualization infrastructure and cloud-based services to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and scalability, while supporting business operations and implementing CI\/CD processes.

Functional Knowledge

1. Oversee the day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of the organization's virtualization infrastructure (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V), ensuring high availability, scalability, and optimal performance of virtual machines and associated resources.
2. Administration like provision, configure, and monitor cloud-based services (AWS, Google Cloud) to support business applications and ensure consistent availability, performance, and compliance with organizational requirements.
3. Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect organizational data, ensuring efficient restoration in alignment with defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
4. Ensure the reliability and administration, security, and performance of Linux‑based systems through regular patching, system monitoring, and prompt resolution of technical issues.
5. Facilitate continuous integration and deployment pipelines by maintaining stable, compliant environments and supporting automation initiatives to streamline system delivery and updates.
6. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support infrastructure deployments, resolve complex technical issues, and manage the acquisition of necessary tools and resources.
7. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of infrastructure components, operational procedures, and configurations; generate regular performance and utilization reports for review and planning. Support business continuity planning and participate in DR drills.
