ACCA / Master’s degree (18 years of education) in Accounts / Finance / Business Administration from Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized with at least 2 years of experience in Finance.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to ensure in‐house accounting and finance related support to the Corporate Communication department. The position is responsible to prepare departmental budgets, verify invoices and facilitate the miscellaneous departmental functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Head development of department’s budget, ERR, RERR and FRR preparation exercise involving inputs and feedback from different sections.
  • Consolidate the department’s budget and present it to the Head of Section for review prior to submission to Accounts and Regulatory Affairs department.
  • Assist in preparation of department’s budget, monthly MIS through active involvement, inputs and feedback from different sections.
  • Ensure that the department’s operational record keeping is maintained appropriately to help generate management reports and facilitate internal or external audit.
  • Assist in verification of vendors' invoices for correctness, completeness and to determine if the applicable rates have been correctly applied, and close coordination with different sections within the Department for provision of documentation required for processing of invoices.
  • Proper record keeping of contracts, vendors / suppliers' documents, invoice ageing and CSR projects.
  • Supervise processing of CCD and CSR projects invoices ensuring effective controls and to follow department’s / company’s policy before authorization and approval from departmental / divisional heads. Close coordination with Finance, Accounts, Budget and Tax departments, collection and dispatch of payment cheques.
  • Serve as departmental CPOC for Oracle ERP system with responsibility of correct input of data of each invoice, proper accounting, generation of reports through ERP system.
  • Advise the departmental users in working out costs for miscellaneous activities including publications, marketing collaterals, events, advertisements and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
  • Closely coordinate with Finance, Pre‑Audit, Treasury Function and suppliers/service provider during invoice processing and timely resolution/submission of requisite information/documents.
  • Prepare annual closing schedule of accruals ensuring correct accounting with documentary evidences and booking of expenses.
  • Facilitate the audit process by ensuring that the relevant documents and audit trail are provided to the auditors on behalf of the department.
  • Ensure safe custody of departmental assets, acquisition of new assets as well as retirement of old ones as and when required.
  • The individual shall ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework enforced in the Company while performing job responsibilities in accordance with his assigned role.
  • Undertake any other assignment as directed by management.
