Job summary

A major utility company is seeking a seasoned finance professional to supervise verification processes, prepare financial reports, and develop risk management strategies. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree and over 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, including expertise in budget preparation and approval procedures. Strong analytical skills and an understanding of ERP systems are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in relevant field.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience for ACCA.
  • At least 4 years of post-membership experience for CA/ACMA/CIMA.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise verification, cross-checking, and approvals.
  • Prepare Annual Capital Expenditure Budget.
  • Prepare Financial Feasibility report for pipeline projects.
  • Close Projects Section with allocations of revenue overhead.
  • Prepare Various Schedules related to Projects Section.
  • Prepare Aging Analysis for ongoing projects.
  • Support the Audit team regarding queries.
  • Resolve ERP issues related to projects module.
  • Identify and assess risks under management.
  • Develop and implement risk response strategies.
  • Monitor risks and response strategies.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of risk reporting.
  • Undertake any other assignment as instructed.

Education

Bachelor / Masters (16 years of education) in Finance / Accounting / Supply Chain Management

Job description
Qualifications

Bachelor / Masters (16 years of education) in Finance / Accounting / Supply Chain Management from a recognized HEC university with at least 10 years of experience in relevant field.

OR

ACCA with at least 06 years of relevant experience.

OR

CA / ACMA / CIMA with at least 04 years of post-membership experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise verification, cross checking and approvals duly given by Management as per financial powers and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and approving of issuance of job card for distribution and transmission projects.
  2. Preparation of Annual Capital Expenditure Budget through discussion, meetings, and evaluations to meet the objective set by management Board of Directors (BoD) and OGRA para meters for Transmission and major Distribution projects.
  3. Preparation of Financial Feasibility report for pipeline projects by taking into account of P&D / Sales department data input, government guidelines, ECC decision etc.
  4. Periodical closing of Projects Section with allocations of revenue overhead at Company level to all relevant projects.
  5. Preparation of Various Schedules related to Projects Section to facilitate management in better decision making.
  6. Preparation of Aging Analysis for ongoing distribution and transmission projects.
  7. Support the Audit team regarding any queries related to annual and interim audit.
  8. Resolve ERP issues related to projects module and suggest various improvements in the system.
  9. Identify and assess risks under their management/ownership.
  10. Develop and implement risk response strategies for the risks under their management.
  11. Monitor risks and response strategies under their management.
  12. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
  13. Undertake any other assignment as instructed by senior management.
