VIDIZMO LLC seeks an experienced SQL Server professional to design, implement, and maintain robust databases powering AI-driven data applications. You will validate AI outputs, own deliverables, and collaborate with software teams to ensure secure, high-performance data systems.

The role requires 5+ years with Microsoft SQL Server, strong T-SQL skills, data modeling expertise, and experience with ETL processes. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong T-SQL including joins, indexing, and optimization.
• Understanding of normalization, data modeling, and ER diagrams.
• Backup, recovery, security, and performance tuning knowledge.
• SSMS or similar tools experience.
• ETL concepts and data integration workflows.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases supporting applications and reporting.
• Review and validate AI-generated outputs and ensure quality.
• Own final deliverables, with or without AI assistance.
• Critically evaluate AI results for accuracy and compliance with requirements.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Ensure database performance, integrity, and security.
• Support backup, restore, and recovery processes.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot proactively.
• Assist in data migration, ETL, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and DevOps for data flow.
• Participate in database documentation and version control.

AI Output Verification & Accountability (Required Competency)

The candidate must be capable of effectively using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to support work outputs such as content, analysis, documentation, or code. However, the candidate must also demonstrate strong judgment and ownership of the final deliverables. AI-generated output must never be treated as final without review. The candidate is expected to validate accuracy, completeness, logic, compliance, and alignment with business requirements, and refine AI-assisted work to meet the expected quality standards. The individual will be held accountable for the final output, regardless of whether AI tools were used during execution.

• Assist in data migration, ETL processes, and integration between systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data flow and reliability.
• Participate in database documentation and version control practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong command over T-SQL, including query writing, joins, indexing, and optimization.
• Solid understanding of database normalization, data modeling, and ER diagrams.
• Proven knowledge of backup and recovery, database security, and performance tuning.
• Advanced familiarity with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with ETL concepts and data integration workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

• Exposure to cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases or data warehousing concepts.
