Position Summary

Habib Bank AG Zurich is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to support advanced analytics and AI initiatives within the Software Development function. The role focuses on delivering data driven solutions, applying machine learning and AI techniques, and generating actionable insights for both business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science & AI to solve complex problems
• Analyse, model & visualise data for insights
• Build ML solutions using Python & diverse datasets
• Apply CRISP-DM across projects
• Design & evaluate ML models, neural networks & LLMs
• Work with RAG architectures (LangChain, LangGraph)
• Develop & deploy apps using FastAPI & MLOps practices
• Create dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos)
• Collaborate with data, engineering & business teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Software Engineering or Computer Science from a top reputable university, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in data science, analytics, or AI‑related roles

Skills & Certifications

• Master’s in Data Science or related discipline
• Strong expertise in data analytics, visualisation & Python
• Hands‑on experience in ML, neural networks & AI models
• Experience with LLMs & RAG architectures
• Good understanding of MLOps practices
• Ability to design scalable AI applications
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving & communication skills
• Banking / financial services experience is a plus
