Systems Limited is looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise across the Power BI ecosystem to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will possess hands‑on experience in dataflow development, data ingestion, data transformation, data modeling, semantic models, and the development of Power BI reports and dashboards. The successful candidate should demonstrate advanced knowledge of Power Query, DAX, data modeling, data governance, and the broader Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. Experience working with diverse data sources, including Excel, SharePoint Lists, and SQL databases, is essential to deliver scalable, high-quality analytics solutions that support data‑driven decision‑making. Exposure to AI‑powered tools and the ability to leverage them to improve productivity, analytics capabilities, and reporting outcomes will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI Dataflows, data models, and semantic models.
- Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and validation using Power Query, M Language, SQL, VBA, and related tools. Experience with Alteryx will be an added advantage.
- Perform data modeling activities as required by projects, with a strong understanding of fact and dimension tables, as well as Star and Snowflake schema designs.
- Conduct diagnostics on existing Excel‑based reports, develop enhancement solutions, implement improvements, and monitor validation processes to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards throughout the complete dashboard development lifecycle, from data acquisition to dashboard deployment. Strong hands‑on expertise in Power Query, M Language, DAX, and Power BI functions is essential.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and sustainable business intelligence solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and reporting outcomes.
- Maintain documentation of internal processes, quality standards, process controls, and audit requirements in alignment with organizational standards, including ERD, LDM, PDM, and high‑level data wrangling overviews.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision while proactively engaging with users and internal team members to clarify business and technical requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Power BI development.
- Strong hands‑on experience with: Power BI Dataflows, Power Query & M Language, DAX, Semantic Models, VBA and Regex functionality.
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and Google Data Studio.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data transformation, data modeling, and data governance principles.
- Experience working with Excel, SharePoint Lists, SQL databases, and large datasets.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Apps. Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps will be considered an added advantage.
- Experience in developing product using agile methodologies and ways of working.
- Experience with Azure‑based data and analytics services.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
- Exposure to AI tools and practical use of AI in day‑to‑day analytics activities.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
