Position Overview

Northern University, Nowshera, invites applications from qualified, motivated, and dedicated candidates for the position of Lecturer in Computer Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality education, conducting practical lab sessions, supporting students' academic development, and contributing to departmental activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures in assigned Computer Science subjects, including Programming, Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Web Engineering, and Software Engineering.
• Conduct practical and laboratory sessions to develop students' technical and programming skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, lecture notes, presentations, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
• Evaluate students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Guide and mentor students in academic projects and practical assignments.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment records, and other academic documentation.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and quality assurance activities.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and modern teaching methodologies.
• Perform other academic duties assigned by the department.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

MS/MPhil in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, or a closely related discipline from an HEC-recognized university. Candidates must meet the applicable Higher Education Commission (HEC) eligibility criteria for university lecturers.

Experience

Relevant university-level teaching experience is preferred. Fresh candidates with strong academic backgrounds and subject knowledge may also be considered, subject to applicable eligibility criteria.
