The Team
This position is in the Sustainable1 Commercial Enablement team which plays an integral role in identifying requirements, designing frameworks and process management to empower our commercial teams to excel in their workflows. We work at the intersection of business operations, project management, and technical solution implementation, providing the backbone for commercial effectiveness and growth.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Workflow Optimization: Define requirements and optimize crucial data sets and business processes that underpin the efficiency of our commercial operations. This involves both day‑to‑day management and ongoing improvement initiatives. Seek approaches to leverage automation and AI tools. Leverage technical skills to translate business requirements into effective workflows and frameworks.
- Process Documentation: Document current and an evolving portfolio of business processes, particularly as it relates to our integration within Commodity Insights. Take ownership of these processes, ensuring they are adapted, refined, or newly constructed as business needs evolve. Serve as the point‑of‑contact on Sustainable1 Commercial processes.
- Iterative Process Improvement: Regularly assess and iterate existing processes and data flows, employing a continuous improvement mindset. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimization to deliver superior outcomes for commercial teams.
- Research and Stakeholder Collaboration: Conduct thorough research and requirements gathering among a diverse group of stakeholders—sales, relationship management, commercial leadership, marketing, and business operations—to identify enablement frameworks & workflows that enhance commercial capacity.
- Concurrent Project Management: Manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as new needs and responsibilities may arise with little notice. Serve as a point of contact on various integration initiatives.
- Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of contact between commercial teams and technical resources, facilitating clear and effective communication. Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of project goals.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI to produce actionable insights for commercial stakeholders. Build and maintain dashboards and reports that inform decision‑making. Apply basic SQL query‑building skills to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
- CRM Knowledge: Leverage your understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to support commercial teams, aligning data and process improvements with CRM functionalities and best practices.
Basic Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, information systems, data science, computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Professional Experience: 2‑4 years of relevant experience related to business processes, preferably in a commercial or business enablement environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau required). Ability to build and modify basic SQL queries. Solid understanding of database concepts, schema structure, and CRM platforms.
- Process Design and Improvement: Experience in process mapping, workflow improvement, and iterative solution development. Familiarity with design thinking or similar methodologies is highly valued.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and facilitate productive discussions among diverse stakeholders.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing concurrent assignments and delivering projects in a timely manner. Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing requirements.
- Analytical and Research Skills: Excellent ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research, gather requirements, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
