Job summary

National Land Agency seeks a Cartographer to construct and compile new and revised digital maps or charts from source materials.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Cartographer (Mapping Services) within the Surveys & Mapping Division.

Qualifications

• First Degree in Cartography, Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent, with 1 year of related experience.
• Diploma/Certificate in Earth Related Science field with basic Cartography or GIS training and 2 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of GIS applications and handheld data collection devices.

Responsibilities

• To construct and compile new and revised digital maps or charts from source materials.
• Assist in the execution of Surveys & Mapping Division tasks and report to the Chief Cartographer.

Job Purpose

To construct and compile new and revised digital maps or charts from source materials

Minimum Required Qualifications And Experience

• First Degree in Cartography, Geography, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Urban and Regional Planning or an equivalent program from a recognized institution and one (1) years experience working in a related area.

• Diploma/Certificate in an Earth Related Science field, related basic training in Cartography or Introductory GIS and two (2) years' experience.
• Working knowledge of GIS applications and the use of handheld data collection devices

Remuneration Package

Salary Range (Level 5) - $2,803,771.00 -$3,770,760.00 per annum
