Job summary

Rain Stella Tech is hiring a Backend & Integration Engineer with 4–6 years of backend experience to design scalable services and REST APIs for healthcare interoperability. You will build secure integrations between EMR/EHR systems, HIEs, and third-party platforms, using HL7 v2 and FHIR R4, and work with Mirth Connect or Rhapsody to ensure reliability.

Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on performance and security, including HIPAA compliance, in a healthcare tech

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, healthcare interoperability, and system integrations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Git.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Building secure integrations between EMR/EHR systems, HIEs, and third-party platforms.
• Developing healthcare interoperability solutions using HL7 v2 and FHIR R4.
