Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Backend Developer (4+ years hands‑on) from Pakistan for a full‑time remote/contract position.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, scalable backend systems using Laravel with a strong focus on clean architecture, API development, performance, and security.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Laravel (latest version) and PHP 8.3.
• Design and implement secure RESTful APIs with third‑party integrations.
• Optimize database queries, performance, and application scalability.
• Build and manage background jobs, queues, and caching systems.
• Collaborate with frontend developers (Vue/Nuxt) for seamless integration.
• Ensure security best practices, debugging, and high code quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years strong experience with Laravel and modern PHP (8.3+).
• Deep knowledge of MVC, OOP, Eloquent ORM, and clean architecture.
• Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis (caching + queues).
• Hands‑on with Laravel Sanctum, authentication, middleware, and Horizon.
• Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write clean, testable code (Pest/PHPUnit).
• Experience with Laravel Octane (Swoole/RoadRunner) for high performance.
• Familiarity with Filament admin panels or Inertia.js (for Vue/Nuxt integration).
• Exposure to AI‑assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, LaraCopilot) for faster coding.
• Knowledge of design patterns, PHPStan, and advanced testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
