Job summary

Outright is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to build, maintain, and optimize server-side applications, databases, and APIs in Islamabad. The role involves securing, scaling, and delivering high-performance systems while collaborating with frontend teams and designers.

The ideal candidate will have a CS/SE degree (or equivalent), solid experience in Python/Java/Node.js/PHP/C#, and familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. On-site work with a night shift from 7:30 PM to 5:30 AM.

• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, or C#).
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side applications and backend systems.
• Design, build, and manage APIs for frontend and third-party integrations.
• Create, maintain, and optimize databases and data structures.
• Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues and bugs.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection measures.
• Test, debug, and maintain existing applications and services.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language, such as Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, or C#.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, authentication, and server-side architecture.
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and debugging tools.
• Understanding of application security and performance optimization.
