Job summary

Global Rescue in Islamabad, Pakistan seeks an Associate Quality Assurance Engineer with strong attention to detail to support software quality across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
• 0-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance domain.
• Understanding of different testing types (functional, non-functional, regression, integration, etc.).
• Familiarity with tools such as Selenium or Cypress/Playwright is a plus.
• Must have good analytical skills in identifying, documenting, and resolving issues and bugs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Design, write, and execute test cases and test scenarios for web and/or mobile applications.
• Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Participate in automation testing activities by executing existing and writing new automated test scripts.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Mantis, JIRA).
• Re-test fixed defects and validate fixes before release.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product managers and senior QA engineers to clarify issues.
• Assist in preparing test reports and test summary documents.
• Participate in test planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum).
• Follow QA best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Brief Description

We are looking for Associate Quality Assurance Engineer having strong attention to details, and Product/Software Quality Assurance skills throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. This is a mid-level position requiring the incumbent to have comprehensive understanding all stages of software testing from test planning to test closure, warranting a high-class end product for the consumer.
