Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication or related field.
• 0-1 years of experience in brand design, product design, or similar role.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
• Experience with design systems and reusable design components is a plus.
• Familiarity with UX principles, user research, and usability testing.

Job Summary

As a Designer at Mahaana, you will play a critical role in shaping the visual identity of our brand and enhancing the user experience of our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create cohesive and compelling design solutions that align with our brand vision and meet user needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in both brand and product design, with on-the-job learning for product design if needed.

Key responsibilities

• Brand Design: Develop and maintain the visual identity of our brand, including logo design, brand guidelines, marketing collateral, and digital assets. Ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints and channels.
• Product Design: Collaborate with product teams to design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our products. Contribute to user experience (UX) design, including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and feedback. Use this data to inform design decisions and iterate on designs to improve user experience.
• Design Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and development teams to ensure design solutions are aligned with business objectives and technical constraints.
• Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency in both brand and product design. Create reusable components and guidelines to streamline design processes.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Approach design challenges with a creative and strategic mindset. Balance aesthetic considerations with functional requirements to deliver effective design solutions.
• Feedback and Iteration: Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders. Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs to achieve the best possible outcomes.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 0-1 years of experience in brand design, product design, or a similar role.
• If applying as a brand designer, demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to product design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
• Experience with design systems and creating reusable design components is a plus.
• Familiarity with UX principles, user research, and usability testing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn and grow in both brand and product design areas.
• Experience with interactive and responsive design.
• Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
