Job summary

Translation Empire is seeking a junior .NET developer to assist in upgrading and maintaining .NET websites and applications, working with MVC, .NET Core, and Entity Framework. You will collaborate with the team to analyze requirements, break down tasks, and debug under senior guidance.

The role also involves learning frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and REST API integration, with exposure to modern JS frameworks and Git version control.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with at least one .NET language (C#, VB.NET) and OOP principles.
• Exposure to MVC, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.
• Basic frontend tech: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of at least one modern JS framework (Vue.js / React / Angular).
• Knowledge of REST API development and database interaction (ADO.NET / EF).
• Basic experience with T-SQL and MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and API testing (Postman).
• Awareness of issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
• ASP.NET Web Forms is a plus, Twilio APIs are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in upgrading and maintaining existing .NET websites and applications.
• Support the development of scalable and efficient .NET software applications.
• Learn and contribute to development projects using .NET Core, MVC, and Microservices.
• Collaborate with team to analyze requirements and break down tasks.
• Debug and review .NET applications under senior guidance.
• Participate in drafting software and operating procedures.
• Deliver assigned tasks within specified timeframes.
