Job description

A dynamic CFO services firm looking to expand their team with Accounting Professionals who will play a crucial role in supporting clients by building strong accounting processes, directly managing client relationships, and overseeing a team of talented professionals to ensure the highest standards of quality. This remote role provides an opportunity to work with innovative startups and SMB clients, particularly in the US market.

Role Overview:
As an Accounting Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient accounting systems, managing client accounts, and ensuring that our team delivers exceptional results. The position is based internationally with a preference for candidates in Pakistan. Working hours are from 2PM to 11PM Pakistan time to align with client needs in different time zones.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and refine key accounting processes and procedures to support client needs.
2. Oversee and manage accounting operations for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
3. Collaborate with team managers to maintain the highest standard of work across the team.
4. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their accounting needs and concerns.
5. Supervise and mentor team members to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
6. Lead project management initiatives related to accounting tasks and deadlines.
7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.

Basic Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting, with at least 1-2 years in a management role.
3. Proven experience with US startup or SMB accounting, preferred.
4. Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and other comparable platforms.
5. Strong project management and organizational skills.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. CFA Level 1 or higher, or ACCA certification preferred.
8. Experience in venture capital, private credit, banking, or related industries is a plus.
9. Experience with one of the Big 4 accounting firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC) is a bonus.
10. Experience in climate change, sustainability, or related fields is a plus.

1. This is a remote role with flexibility in location, though preference will be given to candidates based in Pakistan.
