Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns.
- Assist with GST/HST filings, payroll taxes, and other routine submissions.
- Support basic tax planning to help reduce tax liabilities.
- Stay updated with Canadian tax rules and regulations.
- Review financial data to ensure accurate tax calculations.
- Handle basic tax notices and communicate with authorities when needed.
- Use accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, and CaseWare.
- Maintain bookkeeping records and prepare financial reports.
- Coordinate with the team to complete tasks on time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Canadian taxation & accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations, and compliance.
- Experience with T1, T2, GST/HST, and payroll tax filings.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, TaxCycle, or similar software.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal).
- ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting and tax role, with a strong emphasis on VAT and corporate tax.
- Proven track record of managing financials for clients across different industries and regions.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem‑solving capabilities.
- Experience in international taxation.
- Multilingual abilities, to better serve our diverse client base.
