Summary
  • Reporting to: Finance Manager
  • Location: Askari Corporate Tower, Main Boulevard, Gulberg III, Lahore
  • Hours: 40hrs, Mon-Fri 10:00am-7:00pm
  • Salary range: PKR 240,000 - 280,000 per month
  • Holiday: 17 days leave + Public Holidays
  • Probation period: 3 months

The impact of your role

As the Accountant, you will have an impact on financial health and operational success of Giant. Therefore, you will be responsible for the financial management and administration of the business, including the financial accounting, controls and helping support and develop the team. The desired outcome of this will be for you to ensure that reports and accounts produced are complete, accurate and compliant with legislation as well as delivered within agreed financial timetables.

Key responsibilities of the role include
  • Develop and maintain cost-effective, timely systems and controls for cash management and vendor payments.
  • Ensure accurate production of the final trial balance (P&L and Balance Sheet) each month, meeting close-off deadlines and providing assurance of completeness and correctness.
  • Prepare and manage audit-standard support schedules and lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors, the finance team, and senior management.
  • Assist with projects relating to financial reporting/accounting operations initiatives, as assigned, such as VAT reconciliation third party payment reconciliation, intercompany matrix.
  • Provide guidance and training to associates and other team members as needed, and support continuous improvement activities by preparing guidelines, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes.
  • Conduct regular internal audits for financial transactions, analyse key balance sheet accounts, complete financial month‑end tasks and support cost and revenue reconciliation according to accounting standards and business needs.
Your ideal experience & competencies

Ideally you would have a ACCA, CIMA, ACA with 3-4 years post qualification experience within a finance environment.

  • Strong understanding of producing accounts from ledgers in accordance with financial accounting standards, with experience in management accounts and P&L/balance sheet responsibilities. Prior experience with month‑end tasks is essential.
  • Significant analytical skillset with strong quantitative abilities and a keen eye for detail and efficiency opportunities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, emotional intelligence, and strong influence and interpersonal abilities. Must be able to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Experience within the IT service industry preferred. Must possess great enthusiasm, resilience, and a proactive attitude towards the role.
