vamasters, Inc. is seeking a detail-obsessed YouTube Video Editor to turn raw footage into polished long-form videos and social cuts.

You will follow a strict, compliance-minded process to preserve the script and keep on-screen disclosures intact, applying the brand kit to every frame. The ideal candidate has proven experience editing long-form YouTube content, excels with Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve/Final Cut, and meticulously cleans captions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing long-form YouTube videos from raw footage.
• Strong proficiency in professional video editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
• Experience with color grading
• Skilled at cleaning up talking-head footage, including removing pauses and restarts without changing the script
• Experience hand-correcting captions and subtitles
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to follow a brand kit exactly
• Diligent, precise, and able to operate independently
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Edit two long-form YouTube videos each week, turning raw footage into clean, finished episodes
• Remove pauses, false starts, and restarts, and stitch the best takes together seamlessly
• Keep the script verbatim, with no cuts, trims, or paraphrasing of the spoken content
• Keep all on-screen disclosures and legal footers fully visible and untrimmed
• Add b-roll at transitions only, keeping the focus on the speaker
• Correct all captions by hand for accuracy instead of relying on auto-generated text
• Cut shorter versions of each video for social media channels
• Apply the brand kit exactly, including typography, colors, and graphic style
• Deliver finished work to a staging folder, then upload to YouTube with Editor-level access only after written sign-off
• Review the existing YouTube channel and share improvement suggestions before the client interview
