Job summary

South Meats is seeking a Welder in Imus, Cavite. The role requires performing SMAW, GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, or oxy-acetylene welding to fabricate structures, repair equipment, and support installation of components.

You will read drawings, prepare materials, and maintain tools while adhering to safety standards. Candidates should have 1–3 years welding experience, a high school/vocational background, and N/C II/III certifications (preferred).

Qualifications

• At least 1–3 years experience in welding and fabrication.
• Knowledge in different welding techniques and metal types.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and layouts.
• Skilled in use of fabrication tools (grinder, cutter, drilling machine).
• Physically fit and capable of working in hot, confined, or elevated areas.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
• Team player with good coordination skills.
• Experience in truck body fabrication and repair.
• Basic knowledge in mechanical systems and equipment.
• Knowledge in stainless steel fabrication for food plant use.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding works (SMAW, GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, or oxy-acetylene) depending on job requirements.
• Fabricate metal structures, frames, machine parts, and plant equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements accurately.
• Cut, grind, and prepare materials prior to welding.
• Repair damaged equipment, truck bodies, and plant structures.
• Assist in installation of fabricated components.
• Inspect welds to ensure strength, alignment, and compliance with standards.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good condition.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Coordinate with mechanics and technicians for fabrication requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance support when needed.
