Job description

Responsibilities
  • Perform various welding processes such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), depending on the employer’s requirements.
  • Prepare and assemble metal parts by cutting, grinding, and fitting before welding.
  • Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery in good condition.
  • Follow strict safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in skills development activities and comply with the training curriculum outlined by the TITP.
  • Assist with general workshop duties as required by the employer.
Qualifications
  • 20–30 years old (may vary depending on employer’s requirements).
  • High school graduate or vocational/technical course graduate in Welding or related field.
  • Preferably with at least 6 months – 1 year of welding experience (local or overseas), but fresh graduates from welding training programs may also apply.
  • Knowledge in basic welding techniques and tools.
  • Physically fit, with good eyesight and hand-eye coordination.
  • Willing to undergo Japanese language training prior to deployment.
  • No derogatory record and fit to work abroad.
