The Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator (Roving Operator or Stationary Operator) is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and processes used to treat wastewater. This role ensures that treated water meets environmental, health, and safety regulations while protecting public health and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems, including pumps, valves, filters, blowers, and chemical feed systems
• Collect wastewater samples and perform routine laboratory tests
• Record operational data, test results, and maintenance activities accurately
• Adjust treatment processes to maintain compliance with permit and regulatory requirements
• Inspect equipment to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and system malfunctions
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and surrounding areas
• Assist with regulatory inspections and reporting
