The Warehouseman is responsible for handling the daily warehouse operations that support convenience store branches. This includes receiving deliveries, organizing stock, preparing items for store dispatch, and maintaining accurate inventory to ensure continuous product availability.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving of Deliveries
- Accept and unload deliveries from suppliers
- Verify items against delivery receipts and purchase orders
- Identify and report discrepancies or damaged goods
Stocking & Organization
- Arrange items systematically in shelves, racks, or cold storage
- Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) for perishable and fast-moving goods
- Ensure proper storage of products (dry, chilled, frozen if applicable)
Picking & Dispatching
- Prepare and pick items for delivery to store branches
- Pack goods accurately based on request or stock transfer forms
- Assist in loading delivery vehicles
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and report low or excess inventory
- Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventory audits
- Maintain accurate inventory records (manual or system-based)
Warehouse Maintenance & Safety
- Keep warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free
- Follow safety procedures when handling goods
- Ensure proper stacking and storage to avoid damage
Qualifications
- At least High School or Senior High School graduate
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail is an advantage
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
