Job summary

RELX seeks a Visual Designer I to define visual identity, collaborating with senior designers and business teams. You’ll work within existing frameworks while contributing new patterns and assets to elevate product experiences.

Requirements include a IT-related degree and 4+ years in visual/UI/UX design, strong Figma skills, and familiarity with HTML/CSS and Design Systems. Collaboration with global teams and developers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field and at least 4 years in visual/UI/UX design.
• Proficient with Figma and industry standard tools; portfolio of production work.
• Familiar with HTML/CSS and how designs are implemented on websites.
• Experience creating and maintaining Design Systems with reusable components.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate with developers and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Focus on user experience and understand how UI design impacts the overall product.
• Apply creative problem solving and collect feedback from users and stakeholders.
• Follow a user-centered design process and create original visual assets.
• Collaborate with UX Researchers and Designers to define structure and layout.
• Use data and testing to drive design decisions and iterate accordingly.
• Communicate designs with developers using tools like InVision or Zeplin.
• Maintain awareness of design patterns and style guides across platforms.
