Job summary

OneOcean is seeking a skilled Visual Designer to transform instructional storyboards into engaging digital learning experiences. You will work with Instructional Designers to develop elearning modules, multimedia assets, and ensure delivery through LMS platforms using SCORM and xAPI standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with SMEs, strong visual design, and technical know-how in LMS environments. This fixed-term contract is for 18 months and based in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Visual Designer with instructional design collaboration.
• Proficiency in Articulate Rise and Storyline is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong visual design skills across layout, typography, branding, color and composition.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality elearning courses using Articulate Rise and Storyline.
• Create and refine multimedia assets (graphics, layouts, interactions, animations) from storyboards.
• Collaborate with Instructional Designers and SMEs to convert concepts into learning experiences.
• Package and publish courses following SCORM (1.2/2004) and xAPI.
• Ensure accessibility, visual consistency, and LMS compatibility.
• Test and deploy courses across various LMS environments.
• Verify course reporting (completion, scoring, tracking) in SCORM/xAPI LMS.

Visual Designer

We’re looking for a highly skilled Visual Designer who can transform instructional storyboards into engaging, interactive, and polished digital learning experiences. If you have a strong mix of development skills and multimedia creativity, we’d love to meet you. As a Visual Designer you will work closely with Instructional Designers to bring training concepts to life. You will develop elearning modules, create supporting multimedia assets, and ensure seamless delivery through LMS platforms using SCORM and xAPI standards.

Please not this will be an 18 month fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities

• Develop highquality elearning courses using Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline
• Create and refine multimedia assets (graphics, layouts, interactions, animations) based on storyboards
• Team up with Instructional Designers and SMEs to transform concepts into compelling learning experiences.
• Package and publish courses following SCORM (1.2/2004) and xAPI specifications
• Ensure visual consistency, accessibility compliance, and responsive performance
• Test, troubleshoot, and deploy courses within various LMS environments
• Validate course reporting (completion, scoring, tracking) across SCORM/xAPIcompatible LMS systems

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Proven experience as a Visual Designer
• proficiency in Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline (great to have but not mandatory)
• Solid visual design skills (layout, typography, branding, color, composition)
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Blender!
• Strong understanding of SCORM (1.2/2004) and xAPI tracking standards
• Solid working knowledge of LMS platforms and troubleshooting LMSrelated issues
• Ability to interpret and implement storyboards with accuracy and creativityStrong design sense and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and CSS for custom functionality
• e-learning experience desirable
