The Unsecured Risk Collections and Bureau Head is responsible for developing and implementing analytic tools and strategies to minimize credit risk and optimize collection resources across consumer unsecured products. This role oversees credit loss forecasting, risk mitigation programs, and bureau data management while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. By leading innovation in risk policies and mentoring senior analysts, the position drives continuous improvement in collections performance and supports strategic partnerships with credit bureaus and third-party providers.
Implement analytic tools and scorecards to reduce risk and improve collections efficiency.
Lead development, review, and monitoring of risk mitigation programs.
Perform credit loss forecasting for all consumer unsecured products.
Provide insights on portfolio risks and opportunities through regular strategy reviews.
Ensure system changes incorporate updates to analytic tools and strategies.
Mentor senior analysts for leadership roles within the team.
Evaluate and integrate new bureau tools and data for acquisition and collections policies.
Negotiate with credit bureaus and third-party providers for optimal pricing and expanded data use.
Monitor bureau usage and manage system requirements for new tools.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to implement credit and valuation policies.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Statistics, or related field; advanced certifications in risk management preferred.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in collections risk policy or credit risk management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in SAS and statistical modeling.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proven leadership and team development experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
High ethical standards and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
Familiarity with credit bureau systems and risk management tools.
