JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering.

• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter changes, to prevent breakdowns.

• System Overhauls: Disassemble, clean, and reassemble engines and engine components.

• Safety Inspections: Perform technical inspections to ensure compliance with company and federal safety standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on repairs.

• Shop Safety: Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in heavy truck technology is preferred.

• Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certifications (e.g., Diesel Engines, Brakes, Electrical) are highly desirable.

• Experience: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty technician.

• Skills: In-depth knowledge of truck systems, proficient use of diagnostic equipment/scanners, and ability to interpret technical manuals.
