Job Function
Responsible for the safe and timely transportation, handling, loading, and unloading of goods and materials to designated delivery or warehouse locations while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and traffic regulations.
Description / Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive company trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips and immediately report any mechanical problems, damages, or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery, mileage, trip, and vehicle inspection records.
- Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and local and national traffic laws.
- Communicate properly with dispatchers, supervisors, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and concerns encountered during trips.
- Load and unload cargo when necessary and ensure proper handling, securing, and storage of goods.
- Assist in warehouse or delivery operations when required.
- Verify cargo, delivery documents, quantities, and condition of goods before departure and upon delivery.
- Use GPS and mapping applications to determine safe and efficient routes.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Ensure the safety and security of company vehicles, cargo, documents, and other company property.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or Management.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Must have a valid Professional Driver’s License.
- Preferred license codes: A1, B, B1, B2, and C, depending on the vehicle to be operated.
- Physically fit and capable of performing loading, unloading, and other physically demanding duties when required.
- Responsible, dependable, and safety-conscious.
- Able to work under pressure and handle unexpected delivery or road situations.
- Must have a good attitude and professional behavior.
- Willing to be assigned to different delivery or warehouse areas.
- Strong organizational skills for managing routes, schedules, and delivery requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using GPS, navigation, and mapping applications.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when operationally necessary.
- Preferably familiar with routes within Bulacan, San Fernando, Pampanga, and nearby areas.
