Job Description

The Forwarding Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods, cargo, and shipments to designated destinations. This position ensures timely delivery, proper handling of items, and compliance with company and traffic safety regulations. The driver represents the company professionally while coordinating with clients, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks to transport goods and shipments to assigned destinations
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and delivered in good condition and on schedule
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintain accurate delivery records, trip logs, and other required documentation
• Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned by the dispatcher or logistics coordinator
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations staff regarding loading, unloading, and delivery details
• Observe and comply with traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards at all times
• Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delivery delays immediately to the supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the assigned vehicle
• Assist in minor loading and unloading activities when necessary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• With valid professional driver’s license (DL Code A-D)
