Job summary

SMBC Group in Manila seeks a Treasury Planning and Governance Officer to partner with the Manila Treasury Desk and lead governance, risk management, and process improvements aligned with regional and Head Office priorities.

You will drive performance reporting, policy management, and automation initiatives, collaborating with Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations, HR, and IT to strengthen controls and support strategic treasury objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance/economics/related field.
• 7+ years of relevant banking, treasury, or governance experience.
• Strong knowledge of treasury products, FX, rates, and global markets.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA/FRM/PRM/PMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support treasury planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Coordinate governance activities: policy management, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Prepare KPI dashboards and management reports for senior stakeholders.
• Lead process improvements and technology-enabled enhancements.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Finance, Ops, HR, and IT on governance matters.
