MicroSourcing in Ortigas, Pasig City invites a Travel Sales Consultant to join our Sydney-based retail travel sales team. You will handle day-to-day travel bookings, respond to inquiries, prepare quotations, and collaborate with DMCs to deliver seamless itineraries across Croatia, the Balkans, Greece, Scandinavia, India, and Sri Lanka.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare client quotations and initiate booking requests using TOUR-PLAN reservation system.
• Coordinate the booking process with DMCs and travel operators by booking hotels, building itineraries, and submitting booking requests.
• Prepare, review, and finalize travel quotations and booking confirmations for clients.
• Convert quotations into confirmed bookings through proactive client follow-up and sales support.
• Manage client bookings through the travel lifecycle, including payments and documentation.

Job Summary

This is travel sales & customer support role working with our Sydney based retail travel sales team in the day to day management of travel bookings primarily to Croatia, Slovenia & The Balkans Greece, Italy, Scandinavia as well as India & Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries received via web forms, email, and Live Chat, delivering high-quality customer service.
• Prepare client quotations and initiate booking requests using the TOUR-PLAN reservation system.
• Coordinate the booking process with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and travel operators by:
• Booking hotel accommodations through multiple B2B online booking systems.
• Building travel itineraries and submitting booking requests through TOUR-PLAN or directly to suppliers via email.
• Managing supplier responses to finalize quotations and bookings.
• Prepare, review, and finalize travel quotations and booking confirmations for clients.
• Convert quotations into confirmed bookings through proactive client follow-up, updates, and sales support.
• Manage client bookings throughout the entire travel lifecycle, from quotation and booking through documentation and post-travel follow-up.
• Verify that supplier rates align with contracted pricing.
• Manage supplier and client payments to ensure deadlines are met.
• Confirm that supplier services accurately match client booking requests.
• Monitor outstanding deposits and payments, and follow up with clients as needed.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Previous experience in the travel industry.
• Experience using a travel reservation system (non-airline reservation systems preferred).
• Strong understanding of travel sales, reservations, and booking processes.

Preferred

• Experience using the TOUR-PLAN reservation system.
• Formal qualification in Travel and Tourism.
• Previous experience selling travel to Croatia, the Balkans, Greece, Scandinavia, India, or Sri Lanka.
• Candidates with proven travel sales experience in these destinations may be considered even without a formal travel qualification.
