Job summary

Thakral One is seeking a Trade Finance SME to own the Trade Finance product stream within a core banking transformation in the Philippines. You will be hands-on across solution design, integration, testing, migration, and go-live activities, collaborating with business stakeholders, technology teams, and platform vendors.

You will drive requirements, design, ISDs, and integration artefacts, and actively manage risks, issues, and stakeholder communications through all project phases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with core banking transformations.
• Experience implementing a trade finance platform such as Trade360 or equivalent.
• Experience preparing and obtaining sign-off for ISDs and integration artefacts.
• Ability to work independently and drive design, documentation, reviews, and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Analyse trade finance requirements across LC, guarantees, and collections lifecycle.
• Create Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) and design artefacts; drive sign-off processes.
• Lead or contribute to workshops with business and interface teams; coordinate defect remediation.

Job description

As a Trade Finance SME, you will support a core banking transformation programme in the Philippines, taking ownership of the Trade Finance product stream and ensuring the target solution meets business and regulatory requirements. You will play a hands‑on role across solution design, integration, testing, migration, and go‑live activities while working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and product vendors.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed

Requirements Analysis & Documentation

• Analyse and document trade finance requirements across the Letters of Credit (LC), Guarantees, and Collections lifecycle.
• Prepare and own Interface Specification Documents (ISDs), functional and technical design documentation, and drive review/sign‑off processes.
• Partner with product vendors to clarify capabilities, configuration options, constraints, and gaps.

Solution Design & Integration

• Act as SME for the Trade Finance product/module throughout requirements, design, build, testing, and cutover phases.
• Support solution design for integrations with GL, payments, lending, and reporting platforms.
• Define integrations using MQ, REST/SOAP APIs, and file‑based interfaces.
• Contribute to SIT and UAT planning and execution, resolving integration issues and coordinating defect remediation.
• Support data mapping, migration validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Contribute to cutover planning and provide hypercare support through go‑live.
• Lead or contribute to workshops with business stakeholders, interface teams, Solution Architecture teams, and platform vendors.
• Manage stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor teams, proactively identifying and escalating risks and issues.

Experience

• You have 10+ years of IT experience, including substantial hands‑on experience in core banking transformation programmes.
• You have implemented a trade finance platform such as Trade360 or equivalent.
• You have experience preparing and obtaining sign‑off for ISDs and integration design artefacts.
• You can work independently, driving solution design, documentation, reviews, and approvals.

Technical Expertise

• You have strong functional knowledge of LC issuance/amendment, Guarantees, and Collections lifecycle.
• You have experience defining trade finance integrations with GL, payments, and reporting systems.
• You are skilled in supporting integrations through MQ, REST/SOAP APIs, and file‑based interfaces.
