Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. is seeking a Calibration Technician to maintain, calibrate, and document laboratory equipment in our QA environment. The role requires hands-on measurement devices, adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025, and strong problem-solving.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electronics/Electrical Eng or equivalent, 2+ years of calibration experience, and proficiency with Excel/SharePoint. On-site in Quezon City, Philippines, with competitive rewards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant calibration experience.
  • Strong understanding of calibration principles and best practices.
  • ISO/IEC 17025:2017 knowledge is preferred.
  • Hands-on with instrumentation, measurement systems and test equipment.
  • Proficient with Excel and SharePoint; basic programming or automation is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update equipment records and calibration certificates for traceability.
  • Review calibration schedules and perform in-house calibration of measurement/test equipment.
  • Coordinate calibration of equipment that cannot be calibrated internally by external labs.
  • Ensure ISO 9001 compliance and participate in audits.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Support calibration process automation and data management initiatives.
  • Monitor calibration due dates to avoid downtime and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in developing and improving calibration procedures and related docs.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, monitor, and update equipment records, calibration certificates, equipment status, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Review calibration schedules, plan activities, and perform in-house calibration of measurement and test equipment.
  • Coordinate and manage the calibration of equipment that cannot be calibrated internally by accredited external calibration laboratories.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable quality management system requirements; actively participate in internal and external audits.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through the automation of calibration processes, data management, and other related operational activities.
  • Monitor calibration due dates and ensure timely completion to avoid equipment downtime and maintain compliance.
  • Assist in the development, review, and improvement of calibration procedures, work instructions, and related quality documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2 years relevant experience
  • Proven experience and strong understanding of calibration principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Certification in calibration training is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation, measurement systems, and test equipment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and SharePoint; basic programming or automation skills are an advantage.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly adaptable and persistent, with the ability to work on a wide range of instruments and equipment requiring calibration.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing priorities and workload.
